How important is a Housekeeper Picture for Your Resume?

By Alice Sy

Your housekeeper resume should contain all of your skills and qualifications for the job and it is likewise necessary to put your housekeeper picture. By doing so, you will be able to present yourself in a proper manner to a potential employer.

Many people in different parts of the world argue if it is appropriate to place a photo on a resume. Some say that it isn't a good practice because it encourages discrimination. They say that employers will favor an applicant because of the way he or she looks on the photo. The applicant may also be chosen because of her race and not because of her true potential as a housekeeper. Judgement on the age and gender might also take effect. These are some of the risk factors of placing a photo on a resume.

This may be true sometimes but not all of the time. If you are going to place a passport sized housekeeper picture on your resume, it will help the potential employers keep track of the applicants. For that reason, it can help a lot.

At present, majority of employers for housekeeping jobs favour resumes that have photos. They want to know the features of their applicants. This is of utmost importance in highly secured areas. However, for some employers, they find it easier to read resumes that do not have photos so that they can concentrate mainly on the applicant's skills rather than on the physical attributes. A photo may be submitted later on.

Thus, whether or not you should include a photo in your resume depends entirely on the prospective employer. If the employer requests for it, then you need to provide a picture. Then again, there are employers who do not intend for their choices to be influenced by how the applicant looks like. Oftentimes, the applicants are requested for a personal interview. Afterwards, the employer will make his or her decision.

Many agencies online attach or post a housekeeper picture on each resume displayed on the site, so as to assist employers in making more efficient searches.
